stub-toe hotline.
March 13th 2025
As a human being myself, I am quite accident-prone. A little soap in the eye here, a little fainting into glass cabinets there. But stubbing one's toe feels so stupid and yet can hurt so much. I will say a particular time when I stubbed my toe in September, among the many times I have stubbed my toe, I managed to stub it so badly that I couldn't walk amazingly for around a month, thus prompting the birth of this piece. In this piece, I really tried to consider why I was writing the way I was.

So, you just stubbed your toe. But did you really stub your toe? Or are you in a dream? Is this even real? The pain, the embarrassment. But more importantly, if you were a fish... why? And what's your favourite colour? Red, yellow, orange, green, purple, indigo, maroon...

Thank you for your patience. We appreciate your time!
